people woke up to find nothing but snow as they looked through the window.
The street outside had disappeared.
Virtually the whole of London was buried under a 200 foot high blanket of snow, leading to tunnels having to be dug through the snow to enable transport to reach all areas, using submarines.
The temperature outside had dropped to minus 500 degrees celsius.
In fact it was so dangerously cold that buses became brittle and collapsed into smithereens, scattering their contents all over the place.
Even some houses collapsed due to the cold, leaving people having to dig burrows in the ground like a rabbit and setting up home in earthen tunnels.
