THE GAS LEAK IN ESSEX
Once upon a time whilst a coach was heading towards Southend – on – Sea there was a pile up on the A127, Southend Arterial road. The traffic jam was caused by a gas leak brought on by a plague of rats who had chewed through the gas pipe in Runwelly Road, near Mr. Macmillan’s Roundabout. So a pride of burly workmen were sent to flush out the pests by spraying poisonous ice cream all over the place, but it had a terrible side effect for it caused the rats to grow to five miles long. The monster rodents invaded Filthyman’s Road near Rayleigh and sent people flying in terror. One giant rat had chewed through a car killing all the occupants, but by a stroke of luck they came back to life again. So, the only solution was to pepper the whole area with rotting custard, ‘ and, ‘that did the trick, the rat melted. The next job was to give the town of Rayleigh a medical checkup. The town was admitted to hospital and found to have tumours sticking out of every house and roads bleeding as well as buses vomiting.
The town had an operation.
The removal of Rayleigh from its usual site left residents without their town so they had to be re- housed inside Little baby Wickford, a new born baby whose mother is the town of Wickford. Near Wickford is Brolleigh, a town where people go to when its raining. Known as Umbrella Town, its well known for keeping people dry. Here is a list of other towns and villages in Essex.
1. Sleepley
2. Billyook
3.Squinklaw
4. Little Man
5. Duckmore
6. Stock and Share
7. Jam
8. Tudgeleigh Dimmo
9. High Chair
Now its back to the gas leak. To prevent it ever happening again it was decided to stick chewing gum on the gas pipes.[/b]
